Hobonichi 2025 A5 Planner Cover [Yumi Kitagishi: Letter]

Illustrator Yumi Kitagishi’s artwork has made waves all over the world, and this year her work returns to our lineup for another techo cover. This 2025 edition cover features brand new artwork.

The world in Kitagishi’s acrylic gouache paintings evoke lovely, warm feelings of gazing at an enchanting picture book.

The theme of this fun and colourful techo cover is Letter. It shows a cat holding a pencil and notebook, and shows a variety of colourful envelopes, stamps, and writing utensils. The design is filled with items to send handwritten messages to someone special. It’s like a drawer filled with your favourite things that make you happy every time you look at it.

The cat in a red dress looks to be ready to write a letter to someone. What a fun and luxurious way to spend time, thinking of someone while writing away with your pencil.



There’s a cat flying a paper airplane out of the window. Maybe it’s also a handwritten letter to someone.



There are so many colourful envelopes that it’d be hard to choose which one to use. It’s nice thinking about which one might suit who.



The back of the cover has a large pocket with an illustration inside it. Peek inside and check it out.



The cover interior is a subdued green. The right-hand pocket shows a cat keychain and a cute otter. The cover also includes a cat-design brand card. It looks cute peeking out from the pocket, and you can leave it there so you can look forward to seeing it every time you open the cover.



The left-hand pocket shows flowers and a key.



The pink and blue bookmarks provide a nice accent and are kept simple with the lack of charms on the ends.



Various stationery products with Kitagishi’s art are also for sale, including a pencil board, sticky notes, sticky note tabs, and a Deco Rush. They’re great for using together.
