Desk Therapy: 5 Calm & Minimalist Stationery Picks
Calm your space with five minimalist stationery picks from The Journal Shop. Simple, tactile tools for clearer thinking, gentler writing, and a slower kind of productivity.
Paperian's Flat Notepad is an A4 sized planning and organisation tool, in four layouts including: monthly planning, weekly planning, idea pad and project planning.
Its large surface area means there's lots of room for writing and making those all important notes. It serves as a great family calendar or shared project planner. Perhaps you're someone who prefers to see your week at a glance in which case, the weekly format is ideal and you'll never forget appointments or commitments because it's always there, and you can take a quick glance before you start the day.
The monthly planner
An undated month at a glance, each page offers the flexibility of starting at the month and year of your choice. There are 31 undated squares per sheet and a vertical column of five sections, on the left margin, in dot grid layout. These small rectangular grids in the margin, are designed for little notes throughout the month.
The weekly planner
As with the monthly version, this is an undated planner with a week to view per page. It's been cleverly split into two sections so the days run across the top half of the page and time slots [6am - midnight] run down vertically on the bottom half of the page. The days of the week are labelled at the top in a clear red font and there's a space for you to write down the start of the week.
Idea Note
For those of us with lots of thoughts and ideas throughout the day, this is useful in more ways than one! Each page has space for a title, date and page no, offering blank scribbling / drawing paper on the left hand side of the page and ruled paper on the right.
Project plan
Utilising the Cornell Method of organising notes and plans, the project plan layout is split into a grid system of 4 distinct sections, on each page. The upper left quadrant contains ruled paper titled 'Tasks' so you can note down the tasks that need to be tackled during the project, the upper right quadrant contains grid paper with numbers 1-31 running horizontally across the top to denote the days in the month, the bottom left quadrant contains dot grid paper and lastly, the bottom right of the page contains blank paper for free note-taking or drawing. There's space at the top of each page for the Project name, the period of time in the project and the page no.
