Hobonichi 2025 A5 Planner Cover [Naoki Ishikawa: Denali in the Midnight Sun #1]

$58.00

This cover features a photograph of Denali, North America’s highest peak, as taken by Naoki Ishikawa.

This photo, capturing the full extent of Mount Denali at 6190 meters above sea level, was taken from inside a Cessna heading towards base camp for the summit. The view of the mountain composed of deep blue and white looks like a watercolor painting at a glance. This photograph is processed with cyanotype, which is a photographic process that involves a chemical solution and exposure to UV light. The appeal in this design comes from the brush marks that let you see where the solution was applied.

In 2016, Ishikawa climbed Denali all by himself. During a season close to the midnight sun, he diligently kept climbing while bathed in the sunlight, amidst the blue and white landscape. He depicted that scenery more impressively in Denali in the Midnight Sun #1.

The photograph is fully printed on this techo cover. You will be able to have the vast landscape of Denali always by your side.

The butterfly-stopper pen holders, cover interior and bookmarks are all in a calming navy to match the blue of the photograph. The name of the piece and the photographer are printed in silver on the pocket.

Seeing the great scenery with the blue mountain and sky against the white snow and clouds will motivate you whenever it catches your eyes.
