Stalogy Thin Sticky Notes, 12 colours
After struggling to find just what I wanted, I spotted these and knew immediately that these were what I had been looking for. The main feature that made them ideal was the translucent sticky strip, I can write to the edge of the page and lose nothing because the are translucent.
