We do things differently.

At The Journal Shop we specialise in beautiful stationery but we're so much more than a stationery brand. We like to think that we're making a difference to how we shop and what we choose to buy. So, we're making sure that we choose our suppliers carefully, reduce our carbon footprint and encourage our stationery community to love what they own and reuse what they love. Our products are chosen with value, quality and longevity in mind and we're building our like-minded community one pen at a time.

We started small

Our story started with a problem (the best ideas usually do) and the need to find a solution. In 2004 our founders started The Journal Shop out of a shared frustration with a lack of well designed, accessible stationery. There was a need to bring something new and exciting to the stationery market and they set about their concept with a vision in mind; to collaborate with independent brands and designers all over the world and bring these designs home to our community of like-minded stationery enthusiasts.

We love great design and nothing excites us more. We started small so we don't just bring great design to our community, we champion small emerging brands, some that you might never have heard of. We go to great lengths to meet the brands we work with and support them by providing a platform to showcase their work. The result? Creative, stylish stationery and lifestyle goods that are unique and accessible to everyone. Our young brands flourish and our community loves the pieces they own. Win, win.
